QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS ISO 9001 is defined as the international standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system (QMS). Organizations use the standard to demonstrate the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements. It is the most popular standard in the ISO 9000 series and the only standard in the series to which organizations can certify. ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS ISO 14001 is the international standard that specifies requirements for an effective environmental management system (EMS). It provides a framework that an organization can follow, rather than establishing environmental performance requirements. Part of the ISO 14000 family of standards on environmental management, ISO 14001 is a voluntary standard that organizations can certify to. Integrating it with other management systems standards, most commonly ISO 9001, can further assist in accomplishing organizational goals. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) defines an environmental management system as “part of the management system used to manage environmental aspects, fulfill compliance obligations, and address risks and opportunities.” The framework in the ISO 14001 standard can be used within a plan-do-check-act (PDCA) approach to continuous improvement. OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH and SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS ISO 45001 is an ISO standard for management systems of occupational health and safety (OH&S), published in March 2018. The goal of ISO 45001 is the reduction of occupational injuries and diseases, including promoting and protecting physical and mental health. The standard is based on OHSAS 18001, conventions and guidelines of the International Labour Organization including ILO OSH 2001, and national standards. It includes elements that are additional to BS OHSAS 18001 which it is replacing over a three-year migration period from 2018 to 2021.ISO 45001 follows the High Level Structure of other ISO standards, such as ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015, which makes integration of these standards easier. IADC RIGPASS® Designed to identify core elements of safety orientation programs, RigPass prepares new employees for most operating environments, onshore or offshore. RigPass accreditation is endorsed by SafeLandUSA and SafeGulf. Completion of an IADC RigPass® or IADC RigPass® Course-to-Go accredited program confirms that personnel have met basic requirements defined by safety and training professionals in the drilling industry, irrespective of the rig’s location. These programs also satisfy the SafeLandUSA and SafeGulf requirements. UL 508A NITW Program Industrial control panels are defined by the National Electrical Code (NEC) section 409.2 as an assembly of two or more power circuit components, control circuit components, or any combination of power and control circuit components. Industrial control panels covered by UL product category NITW (Industrial Control Panels) are factory-wired assemblies of industrial control equipment, such as motor controllers, switches, relays and auxiliary devices. The UL 508A Industrial Control Panel Shop Program is a part of UL’s General Coverage programs, which offer control panel manufacturers flexibility to apply UL Certification Marks to a wide range of industrial control panel designs. The control panel manufacturer’s level of knowledge and quality control measures are important elements of these programs. Control panel manufacturers initially entering the Industrial Control Panel Shop Program are required to complete mandatory training on the UL 508A industrial control panels Standard and then maintain qualified staff knowledgeable of the requirements of the Standard and Advanced Cycle Automation is one of them.
